Rhos Point seawatching
Some great seawatching at Rhos Point over the past couple of days with juvenile long tailed skua, adult Sabine's gull, good numbers of arctic skuas, a bonxie and black terns logged as well as 2 puffins and a black guillemot. Four whimbrel, double-figure Manxies, red throated diver and a barwit also seen. The juv long tailed skua I saw on Tuesday landed on the sea not too far out and stayed there for about five minutes despite being mobbed by several gulls. Possibly same bird or another juv seen by Marc Hughes this morning. Hopefully more to come....
