Walk round Conwy RSPB this morning produced a low-flying jack snipe on the back track near the gate. The bird must have been flushed elsewhere and zapped along at head height across the pools from the bridge pond area and then along the track ahead of me before disappearing. A few lesser redpolls and siskins around and a great spot pecker. A quick look from Llysfaen got 2 velvet scoters but no sign of surfs in a smaller scoter flock than normal.
