Spent the last week along the Ceredigion Coast. Plenty of birds about. The Dyfi produced max wader counts of 7 Little Stint, 3 Ruff, 3 Green Sandpipers, 7+ Greenshank, 3 Curlew Sandpipers as well as excellent counts of 350+ Ringed Plover, 400+ Dunlin (including a few good 'artica' candidates), 100+ Sanderling, 15 Knot, 9 Black tailed Godwit and 3 Whimbrel.
Further south between Llanrhystyd and Llanon, 300+ Med Gulls (possibly as many as 400) were spread along the coastline - an amazing sight. Waders here included Ruff, 2 Black tailed Godwit, 3 Bar tailed odwit, 100+ Turnstone, 100+ Ringed Plovers, 25 Sanderling.
The sea produced Baleraric and Sooty Shearwaters (Strumble) amongst the many hundreds of Manxies present, Arctic and Great Skua, Puffin, Sunfish and 30+ Bottle nosed Dolphins.
Autumn is certainly upon us.
