A good arrival of migrants today included 133 Willow Warblers, 140 Blackcaps, 18 Grasshopper Warblers, two ringtail Hen Harriers....but still no Whitethroats, where are they?? Has anyone had any yet?
Mike Smith had a Whitethroat on Wednesday the 18th in Cemaes, but I've not had had any yet. Saw Corn Buntings, Grey Partridge and Tree sparrow this morning but I am in St Helens at the mo. They still have breeding Lapwings, Yellowhammers and plenty Skylarks here too!
Mmmm.. spent the day grass cutting - sounds like I should have been "down the end".
ReplyDeleteNice fall. Shame you didn't get some monster rare for a change :D
Had my first Blackcap of the year for Rhiw singing away this morning but have not seen or heard Whitethroats anywhere yet.
Great Orme was a bit different- one each of willow warbler and blackcap! I did get a couple of tree pipits though. Sounds great there Steve.
