Great shots Pete. It's taken me decades to get little swift and you see one in your early birding years ! Still there this morning. John and I got there for 5am and the swift was roosting on the pier house. The lazy bird did not wake till 5.55! It was still feeding as we left and I even had the swift and anfield in the same view! Does not get better than that.
Superb Pete. Took it easy and got the bird between 7-7.20 pm last night- first birdwe saw after getting out the car- wasn't seen after that! Showed at 9.20 over the Mersey this morning but becoming hard work apparently.
A few years of pain erased with one phone call from Mark Turner Friday afternoon. Missed the Notts bird as working away at time. Missed the 2005 Norfolk bird as had just returned from knackering trip t oCornwall and couldn't summon the energy to drive al the way to Norfolk after 3 hrs sleep and missed the more recent Derbyshire bird by 20 minutes as I waited for my (non driving) mate to finish work. I won't be doing that again.....parly because the threat of leaving him behind next time spurred him into taking his test. A lifer only 20 minutes from home. The year gets better and better.
good effort Pete- not easy to capture. What a cracker!
ReplyDeleteDodgy record shots? You must be made up with those pics, I would be! Nice one.
