I've always struggled to get a local dipper on my year list since moving to Penrhyn Bay and decided to make a determined attempt this year to look for one. So today after two previous failed attempts this week I finally came across one along the River Dulas showing really well as it swam and was dive feeding underwater. Hopefully a regular local bird from now on!

Then when I returned home found my wife had taken a pic of the local sparrowhawk sat on our garden fence eyeing up our bird table.
