There's a pair of 2B Xbill at Nercwys Forest near Mold at SJ214593 west of the north access gate Nr the top of the hill. Great find for GM and first in Wales since 1991. About time they reached here this winter!
Had a very quick look at lunchtime today. Some debate on site as to where to view from. Most likely spot I think is to drive past north gate to the top of the hill. On the right are a number of larch trees with cones. Had a very brief and poor view of 2 crossbills here that looked good but sadly I could not relocate them to clinch id before having to go back to work. Hopefully they'll linger as they will be a much needed Welsh tick for many, including me.
