I was a little surprised to encounter this dapper drake Long-tailed Duck on Llyn Trawsfynydd earlier today. It was favouring the south east end around the footbridge and hanging out with 15 Tufties - not seen one in summer plumage for a while. Certainly made up for the virtual absence of waders, which were represented by a lone Dunlin!
