Whoopers and Glossy Ibis at Malltraeth Wed 16th Nov

12 Whooper Swans were showing well near the Lon Las Cefni cycle track today. As well as the Swans, I was staring at this sod of earth for 15 minutes before I realised it wasn't a sleeping Glossy Ibis and was just a sod of earth! Apparently the Glossy Ibis was seen at 10am, but it was seen to fly off north towards Holyhead so it may either be still in the area, elsewhere on the island or it's gone! The Pentre Berw to Llangaffo road offers panoramic views over the reserve.
