Costa de la Colwyn Bay Zoo

Following on from Steve's dodgy bird thread, here are some bizarre Mediterranean additions to the Colwyn Bay Zoo aviary over winter - this poor Hoopoe looked out of place in the cold winter weather, while I'm not sure whether the Cattle Egret was a food source in the Andean Condor pen or not! Looks like we might have to be suspicious of more than just ducks over the coming months ;-)

  1. You've gotta feel sorry for that hoopoe! Just out of interest Marc did any of these have (plastic) rings on them? Cheers Julian

  3. Looking forward to a mass break out in Spring, maybe we can give them a hand?!
