Old Colwyn Watersports Centre

Purple sandpiper seen over high tide today at the breakwater by the Old Colwyn Watersports Centre, a new site for this species for me. At least 1,000 common scoter offshore here along with 16 red throated divers and 24 great crested grebes plus guillemot and razorbill. The new centre complex, which juts out into the sea, should make an ideal seawatching spot once all the work is completed. One purp sand also Rhos Point.
