Yesterday had amazing close up views off Colwyn Bay prom of a gannet that splashed down close to shore and then drifted in before going for a nap. The bird looked ok so presume it just fancied a snooze.

Little and large
Three little ringed plovers seen from Benarth hide at Conwy reserve this afternoon, all 3 at one point on the mud infront of hide otherwise on the edge of the small islands in the lagoon. 8 white wags also seen and a whitethroat reported on the Ganol trail estuary end.
