Winter swans.

Had a trip out this morning to the Dee with John R. The swan flock on the inner Dee marshes was present near the bridge this morning. In the mist it was not easy but there were at least 8 bewicks, 20 plus whooper, 30 plus mute and a single black. This must be the only place in Wales (just) where both swans occur side by side. 30 pink feet flew over along with 2 raven and the usual waders and little egret. Connahs Quay had 2 brambling, a peregrine, rock pipit and good numbers of Dunlin and oystercatcher. No godwits though which I assume is because they are all at Warren Farm.
