Butcherbird territory

Another trip out with JR today took us into butcherbird territory in Clocaenog and after the climb up to Craig Bron Bonag mast we were straight on to the great grey shrike which performed well for nearly an hour. Joined by Alan Davies and Ken Croft and Co in the later stages of our stay. Caught up with an obliging pair of crossbills later but the light was awful for any decent shots. Chucked some seed on a picnic table while we lunched and within a couple of minutes had two nuthatches joining us for grub. Carried on to a site near Bodfari which is John's fave spot for ring ouzels but none in yet.
