Out and about

Managed to catch up with one drake scoter at a new viewing place this morning, the pull-in area at the site of the former 77 Degree cafe near Colwyn Bay. It's higher up than the rainbow bridge but you get a great panoramic view over the sea and there's no walking to be done! Still thousands of common scoter around and a couple of fulmars were showing. Then it was on to the Spinnes but missed the Iceland gull by half an hour. Still, had the Greenland white front goose as well as a white wag along the shoreline and several chiffs on the reserve. Gave Bangor Pier a go looking for the Iceland but no joy despite hundreds of gulls here. Is this place watched regularly, looks good for gulls?
