Crossbill heaven!
Had a cracking morning with Paul Leafe in Montgomeryshire this morning. Mealy Redpoll amongst 250+ Lesser Redpoll, 100+ Brambling, 80+ Crossbills, Kites, Goshawk, 10+ Tree Pipits, Redstarts, Little Ringed Plovers, Dippers, Common Sandpipers etc etc. What a superb underwatched county - amazingly the Mealy is a first county record if accepted! Just shows what lays undiscovered there!
