Dotterel at Yr Allt, Rhosneigr
Chris Lane came up trumps at Yr Allt again (after his BP BN Grebe a few years back) with 3 cracking Dotterel in a ploughed field north of Llanfaelog. Yr Allt is about 1km directly north of Llanfaelog, which is the next village to the east of Rhosneigr. Yr Allt is a house on a minor road and the ploughed field is next to the road to the NE of the house. There are 3 brightly plumaged bird, possibly all females, but one may be a male as it is a little less brighter than the other 2. Lovely birds!

Super pictures Steve, brilliant birds and a super find.
ReplyDeleteTa for the heads up Derek!
ReplyDeleteStill there this morning (Tuesday).
ReplyDeleteChecked today (Wed 16th) at 1pm and no sign. Just a Whitethroat on Territory with a bit of a rattle at the end of it's song, similar to a Lesser Whitethroat.
