Subalp and more Redpolls

Two Turtle Doves were at Nant this morning. Two Reed Warblers were by-catch whilst attempting to trap a Crossbill. Also several Redpolls were captured at Nant. One was a French ringed Lesser, two were, well erm they were.... See the pics below. Can these birds really be Lessers? The top bird is the left hand bird in pic 2 and the bottom two pics are the right hand bird.



Later in the afternoon a first summer female Subalpine Warbler was discovered just south if the obs garden. It was very skulky and was hard to see in blustery conditions. As the wind dropped in the evening it became more showy.
