Rose coloured Starling - Rhos on Sea. What a crowd pleaser!

There's a superb adult summer Rose coloured Starling showing very well at Rhos on Sea on the promenade. It looks very settled and at home on the feeders on number 68 and 85. It is also getting onto the promenade and the beach. Found by Denis Pithon. Now if Carslberg made Starlings ......

  1. Cracker! My only other UK summer plumaged rosy was also in Rhos on Sea about 10 years ago in the same place.
Will hopefully get over there tomorrow. Let's hope it sticks.

  3. Won't let me log in I'm afraid Shirley. You're welcome to save one off here on your computer and upload it onto NWBF yourself if you wish.

  5. The same bird (I assume) was also in Abergele last weekend. It turned up out of the blue on our garden table and interacted with the 25 local young starlings that we have been feeding all month. They found this pink visitor very curious but still fought it over the madeira cake. I had no idea what it was or that it was so rare but knew it was unusual so managed a few hurried shots of it sharing the table with our local starlings.
