Woodchat shrike Great Orme

A woodchat shrike was found on the Great Orme this morning by Pete Alderton in the limestone pavements area moving from the wall and onto bushes around the pavement while I was there. A female senator type though to me looked very washed out and pale looking. Great find by Pete. Couple of record shots.

  1. Third record for the Orme and a cracking find by Pete. He certainly puts the hours in up there. Looks like a 1st summer female to me Julian.
That's Woodchat, Bee-eater, Quail, 6 White Storks, Dotterel, Little Ringed Plover and large pipit sp. recorded up there this Spring- not bad for a quiet spring!!

  2. Excellent record although us Hilbre regualrs getting a bit despondent as everything bypassing us this spring! Greenish on Bardsey & Walney. Woodchat in Lancs and now the Orme.
