Note the short wings, massive bill and blue brown legs. This is the yellowest hippo I've ever handled. It was well smart

To pee or not to pee!
I went out the back of the house to go to the little boys room and happened upon this Melodious Warbler. The views (without bins) were p*ss poor if you will forgive me, but I had about 3/4 second view of a green, stocky looking, short hippo. It could only be a melodious. The news was broadcast and shortly after the bird appeared again briefly for others to see and for me to get better views. It then vanished and reappeared in the trap about 35 mins later in the pouring rain.

Hi,
ReplyDeleteI was just curious. Never seen one in the hand before. The wing just looked deceptively long in the picture. Looks like your having a really good spring. I must pop over when I get back to Wales.
