Great birds on Anglesey
A day guiding on Anglesey today turned out to be very good indeed. We began at Cemlyn where we soon found a Lapland Bunting and offshore a Great northern Diver and a Bonxie.
At Beddmanarch Bay a good selection of waders inc both Grey and Golden Plovers, Knot and Bar tailed Godwits plus a flock of Brent Geese.
South Stack RSPB provided wonderful views of Chough and a great lunch.
On the Inland Sea we enjoyed great views of a feeding Spoonbill with a flock of Little Egrets. Also here we found a Ruff and 7 Mediterraen Gull along with 150 Brent Geese.
Valley Lakes RSPB boosted our fast growing list with a nice selection of wildfowl.
Then across to Penmon to jam in on a Richard's Pipit found by David W. a great record! Also here we had more Chough and Brent Geese and a fine drake Eider.
Join us soon for a great day birding.
