Glaslyn came up trumps

After

  1. After seeing not much bar snow up Craig-bran Banog me and Tony headed over towards Porthmadog. There was no sign of the Black-red or Water Pipit (seen on the 16th March) but high tides at the southern end of the cob (sea-shore rocks) are always worth a look when the salt-marsh is covered at this time of year. The field by the Osprey project produced a fair few Whoopers, 1 Greenland White-front, 4 + Pinks, 2 Barnacles, a white naped Canada Goose, plus 2 Pairs and an extra male Mandarin by Pont Croesor Bridge and 2 Ospreys mating on the nest! We then finished off with the close Goosanders in Llanberis. Not a bad day in all.
